If you run a website chances are you check your Google rankings often. Unfortunately, Google’s personalization of your frequently searched sites can make you think that you rank much higher than you actually do. Example, I shoot boudoir so some of the key words I often search are, boudoir photographers. Because I often visit my own websites, google is going to remember that and rank my sites high on their pages for me. If a potential client searches the same key words they may not get the same results I’m getting.
